Learning Formats
LibLearnX is education for library professionals, by library professionals.
LibLearnX is designed to be an active learning experience. You will take part in experiential learning "learning by doing" in hands-on workshops, bite-sized presentations, deep dives with engaging discussions, and more. And you can create a schedule of sessions to match your learning style and objectives.
See a list of the diverse primary content areas and learning formats below.
Accelerators
Led by an expert facilitator, these sessions will expose you to out-of-the-box ideas that challenge traditional thinking and concepts and will empower you to accelerate your ideas. See Accelerator Sessions.
Sessions are approximately 2 hours in length.
Ideas Xchange
Discover innovative ideas about the topics that matter most to the library community. Creative projects will be shared in peer-to-peer conversations through photo images, videos, or engaging conversations in a social and informal learning space in the LLX Marketplace. See Ideas Xchange sessions.
Sessions are approximately 30 minutes in length.
ShopTalks
Pick up practical knowledge and tips – and learn about hot topics and trends at these “bite-sized” presentations that focus on a specific idea, project, or workflow. See ShopTalk sessions.
Sessions are approximately 15–20 minutes in length.
Learning Labs
Delve into current issues and topics of interest with action-based instruction and collaborative learning. With a focus on specific methods, approaches, and opportunities, you’ll leave with immediately actionable insights to take back to your library. Sessions are approximately 60 minutes in length.
